Top Drawer:: Bridal Shop

Across the sound from Seattle,WA is the quaint, old navy town of Bremerton.

Unfortunately, the city begin to crumble over the last few decades. It is finally time for revitalization and projects are taking place all over the area. Our class visited the space and found a block near the water front that was perfect for some cute little shops.

We were each given a space and a retail category. Our goals were to design sustainably and keep the historic integrity of the area. I was given the task of creating a bridal store.
We did research on the demographic of the town and surrounding area and spent a few days getting a feel for the community.

the space features a mixture of sustainable and glamorous designer materials. salvaged wood flooring, recycled aluminum tiles and cork flooring are mixed wall coverings of glass beads & capiz shells, tiles of antiqued mirror glass, & luxurious textiles.

Crystal chandeliers & fixtures with a modern twist add to the glamorous setting and act as functional art in the space.

antique furniture, many pieces from the art deco era keep with both the historical and sustainabe themes

new pieces that were used came from Eco Green Culture Furniture using salvaged and sustainaby harvested woods
these mannequins were designed by artists at Ralph Pucci and make an appropriate model for the couture dresses offered at the shop
